An mBC diagnosis can be scary. Many patients don’t know what to do, which questions to ask or what options are available to them. Patients may turn to their doctor for help, but we often hear that people diagnosed with mBC do not speak up when their treatment decisions are being made. In fact, a Pfizer study of in-office conversations among 22 patients and 7 physicians’ revealed:
- Conversations were driven by oncologists
- Patients had minimal input and asked few questions
- Only half of patients believed they had a voice in treatment options
This helped inform Find Your mBC Voice.
This Is Living With Cancer™
This Is Living With Cancer™ is a program that shares inspiring stories and provides people living with cancer and their loved ones with tools like LivingWith®, a free app developed by Pfizer Oncology, designed to help manage life with cancer. This program is available to anyone in the United States, regardless of tumor type or stage of disease, whether they're currently on a Pfizer treatment or not. Visitors to the Pfizer Booth will have an opportunity to learn about the free resources offered and available through This is Living With Cancer.com.
